Why the light comes on
Usually a tire is low on air. If the pressure is right and the light stays on or flashes, a sensor may be damaged or its battery worn out. Cold mornings can also trigger the light.
Bring it in if
- The tire pressure light stays on after you fill the tires
- The light flashes when you start the car
- A sensor was damaged during a tire change
Questions
Is it safe to drive with the TPMS light on?+
Check your tire pressure as soon as you can. A low tire wears faster and handles worse. If the pressure is fine, have the sensors checked.
